Title
A RESOLUTION FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM APPROVING THE 2022 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

Body
Summary and Background Information:
In 2016, the City became an Entitlement Community and now directly receives funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). As required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City works through its Citizen Participation Plan to determine the allocation of project funds. The final document produced with this procedure is the Annual Action Plan (AAP). The AAP serves as the City’s application and plans for the following CDBG funding year.

Public Hearing for the Adoption of the CDBG 2022 Annual Action Plan

Over the course of two meetings, the CDBG Team reviewed, scored, and recommended funding amounts for each application. Regulatory waivers described in the memorandums include shortened citizen notification periods, the elimination of the15% Public Service cap if the activity is related to preventing, preparing for,or responding to COVID-19, additional phases of funding, and extended deadlines.
