Summary & Background

City Council requested staff perform due diligence related to closing the ramp to Vasquez Boulevard from Brighton Boulevard at E. 68th Avenue. Brighton Boulevard and Vasquez Boulevard are owned and maintained by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Staff collected traffic data along E. 68th Avenue and at the ramp from Brighton Boulevard to Vasquez Boulevard. Staff has also coordinated with CDOT staff and other agencies regarding this matter. A presentation will be given to City Council related to the findings of the traffic data and other factors as part of this due diligence process. CDOT representatives will be attending the meeting.

 

Staff will also present an update on the Safe Routes to School Grant Program.
