Summary & Background

The Community Development Department, Community Well-Being division, has received grant funds from Adams County for $20,500 to fund various Food Security Assistance Programs. These programs include the 2024 Soup4Souls event, the Fridge Fill-up Program, 2024 Project Present Holiday Food Baskets and funding to purchase food for residents who are being providing outreach services and cannot access the food bank. The ordinance amends the 2024 budget and authorizes the expenditure of the grant money. In addition, the agreement between Adams County and the City is attached for Council to approve. Per the agreement, funds must be expended by December 31, 2026.
