Call To Order/Roll Call

Meeting called to order at 6:14pm.

Approval of Minutes  
April Meeting Minutes  
Tyler moved to approve the April meeting minutes. Jackie seconded the motion, which  
was approved unanimously.  
Grants & Finance Monthly Update

Overview sent from Ronna and presented by staff. Questions arose about the  
carryover from Covid and how it is being used.  
Subcommittee Reports  
a. Music in the Park  
Eagle Pointe new art reception to be combined with first Music in the Park. Welcome  
artists on stage and encourage people to go inside to check it out. Small unveiling  
inside the Rec Center at 6pm with artists and their families prior to the concert.  
Staff reviewed tabling materials including flyers, monitor, and artist database.  
i. Volunteer/Board Attendance  
June 12 - Tyler, Emily, Augusta able to volunteer. Jen will attend.  
June 26 - Jackie & Nick and Deana able to volunteer. Jen will attend.  
Volunteers should arrive around 6pm.  
ii. Finalizing Fan Art  
Signage/labels will be made with prompts  
b. Public Art & Art Exhibitions  
Augusta left.  
Tyler moved to approve $600 to go towards carvers for the wood carvings at Belle  
Creek (Eric Darst). Jackie seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously.  
i. Cocklebur & CALU Park Recommendations  
Tyler moved to approve Rob Bell's design for the Cocklebur project. Jen seconded the  
motion, which was approved unanimously.  
Tyler moved to approve Marco Garcia's design for the CALU Park project. Nick  
seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously.  
City Council will review our recommendations on June 16. Jen is available to present.  
c. Community Engagement & Partnerships  
Kristi Douglas arrived.  
i. Juneteenth Spades tournament facilitation  
Tyler, Augusta, Jackie & Nick, and Emily are available to attend and share facilitation  
duties. More information will be shared with that group by staff.  
ii. Other City Events & Involvement  
Hispanic Heritage (Omar is interested), Car show at Fall Fest (Kelly is interested).  
Staff will connect with planning groups to start looking ahead and planning.  
New Business

Deana isn't listed on the website.  
Deana moved to cancel the June meeting, and meet virtually in July. Tyler seconded  
the motion, which was approved unanimously.  
Jen encouraged everyone to look at their October calendars and let staff know of any  
conflicts for our Saturday planning retreat. We will decide a date at the July meeting.  
Kristi shared that the Youth Commission is holding a town hall July 12 from 11am-2pm  
and are inviting Boards & Commissions.
