A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order  
by Mayor Douglas on March 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM.  
A motion was made by Council Member Young, seconded by Council Member Dukes,  
to excuse those members not present. VOTE: 8 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Noble)

Public Comment - City Council will conduct this meeting in person at the  
Commerce City Civic Center, 7887 E 60th Ave, Commerce City, CO  
80022. There will be the opportunity for public comment at the meeting  
during public comment and/or for each agenda item. Comments may be  
consolidated under the Public Comment part of the meeting. The public  
can submit their comments live during the meeting in person, via Zoom,

Joey Ortega spoke on the 2025 City Council elections.  
Randy Wulf spoke on matters concerning the unhoused.  
Jackie Valdez spoke on motor vehicle parking and matters concerning the unhoused.  
Keith Rogers addressed issues related to street speeding, food trucks, drainage  
problems, and heavy construction equipment on Colorado Blvd.  
Damon Scordo spoke about permitting reform in relation to his upcoming primary  
election campaign on June 30th.

Member Charles Dukes, to schedule an executive session on the April 06, 2026  
regular meeting agenda pursuant to C.R.S 24-6-402(4)(B) for the purpose of  
receiving legal advice regarding federal grant conditions. VOTE:

A motion was made by Council Member Stefanie Trujillo, seconded by Council  
Member Charles Dukes, directing the city manager to work with Flock to  
provide a presentation for Council during the April 6th regular meeting prior to  
council voting on the Flock ordinance on second reading. VOTE:

by advancing economic vitality, expanding local job pathways, strengthening  
our business environment, and ensuring City policies are guided by data,  
partnerships, and long-term workforce trends. VOTE:
