Co-Chair Collins provided the Private Golf Cart Subcommittee update.
Applying the Boards & Commissions Benefit Differently - Kathy LéVeque
Deputy Director LéVeque shared that Council Policy #12 is being revised to include
how the Boards and Commissions benefit is applied. Council date is yet to be
determined.
Update on Park Policies City Council Discussion - Kathy LéVeque
Deputy Director LéVeque reviewed recent park policy changes including the ordinance
to regulate the use of shopping carts and the ability to make same-day shelter
reservations at the two parks with the highest demand: Veterans Memorial and Pioneer
Parks.

Waterwise Demonstration Gardens - Libby Tart, E3
Environmental Planer III, Libby Tart, shared a presentation and discussed the
waterwise gardens that are being developed and provided information on updated xeric
policies.

Deputy Director LéVeque requested input regarding the scheduling of the November
and December meetings.

Member Welander noted concerns with the greenspace restoration of the Second
Creek Open Space after the completion of the wastewater pipeline placement. Staff

Council Member Dukes reported that at the September 15th meeting the Safety Action
Plan was adopted, a motion was approved to implement door-to-door solicitor
requirements, and one to support the South Adams County Fire Department ballot
measure, a Highway 2 safety study is being initiated, along with a future bike path near
88th Avenue and Tower Road to improve safety and connectivity, and the Chief of
