Meeting was called to order at 5:35pm.

Approval of Minutes

February Meeting Minutes  
Iona moved to approve the February meeting minutes. Bianca seconded the motion,  
which was approved unanimously.  
Secretary Elections

The group decided to not elect a Secretary and instead amend their bylaws to move  
those duties to the Staff Liaison.  
Subcommittee Reports  
a. Legislation & Education (Bianca & Dee Dee)  
Bianca is creating templates for testimonies and letters to share.

AAPI proclamation on 4/21 arranged  
b. Signature Events (Deana, Joanne, Iona)  
i. Women's History Month movie event recap  
4 people attended and were happy  
ii. AAPI Month celebration  
Crazy Rich Asians May 18th at 2pm at Eagle Pointe Rec Center. The group decided  
not to do the dancers and drummers this year in hopes that they could plan budgetarily  
and grow their crowd numbers to be able to justify that kind of a celebration in the  
future.  
iii. Juneteenth update  
Food in process. Breast Cancer screenings were too expensive, but we'll still look into  
Dee Dee's health screenings through her organization. Poet Laureate unavailable this  
year. Entertainment and speaker invites are out. Spades Tournament will be  
sponsored by Cultural Council. We have yard games arranged.  
c. Recruitment, Engagement & Partnerships (Marco)  
i. Memorial Day parade  
Let staff know if you would like to participate in Memorial Day or have a good idea.  
Group revisited the idea of getting flags. They also questioned the timing and length of  
parade/event. We will finalize at the next meeting.  
ii. Volunteer Opportunities  
Staff gathering more information about volunteering at city DEIB events.  
iii. PowWow reimbursement  
Send receipts to Melissa for reimbursement.  
d. Resource Compiling & Spanish Translations (Ashley & America)  
No update  
Review of Bylaws

Group discussed minor edits throughout. Staff will rewrite to approve the final draft in  
April.
