Approval of Minutes  
Min 25-137 May Meeting Minutes  
Tyler moved to approve the May meeting minutes. Jade seconded the motion, which  
was approved unanimously.  
Grants & Finance Monthly Update

Ronna provided the account balance.  
a. Covid overage & Reception budgets  
The group discussed the long-term vitality of Covid rollover funds, and how it is a  
hindrance when applying for grants. The group brainstormed solutions on how they  
could receive more funds long-term to sustain how they have been using the rollover  
money. Ideas included fundraising efforts, grant writing returning to the city, and asking  
the city to contribute more money towards Music in the Park.  
Subcommittee Reports

a. Music in the Park  
Group discussed successes and opportunities from the concert series thus far.  
Suggestions included choosing well known bands as a headliner, and adding a more  
local opener or other entertainer, having a mascot, more enticing swag, enhanced  
marketing efforts, and adding more events if budget allows.  
i. Council attendance for 7/24  
Jade, Emily, Tyler, Jackie & Nick, Kristi, and Augusta will all be at the final Music in  
the Park  
b. Public Art & Art Exhibitions  
i. Cocklebur & CALU Park Updates  
Approval will go to City Council 7/21. Kristi asked the group if they would like it taken  
off the consent agenda, and the group felt indifferent.  
ii. Belle Creek Update  
This project is still in the beginning phases. Staff will continue to provide updates.  
iii. Eagle Pointe Update  
Contract will be reviewed by Sand Creek board on 7/17 and installation will happen  
once contract is finalized. Staff will notify subcommittee to start planning reception  
once we have more information.  
c. Community Engagement & Partnerships  
i. Hispanic Heritage  
Cultural Council invited into planning conversations to help plan the entertainment.  
Omar has been in the loop, but group will let staff know if they are interested in joining  
as well.  
ii. Car show at Fall Fest  
Group discussed the upcoming car show sponsored by Cultural Council at Fall Fest.  
Planning details were discussed, including the flyer promotion, registration process,  
prizes and prize budget, categories, and more. Staff will continue to work with the  
subcommittee on execution.  
New Business

a. October retreat date  
Group narrowed the retreat date down to October 18 from 9am-1pm. Group was  
instructed to let staff know of any conflicts and to hold the date. We will officially vote  
on this retreat date at the next meeting.

Subcommittee meetings did not take place due to the meeting taking the full allotted  
time.
