SECOND AND FINAL READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-2003 “TIME OF ADJOURNMENT” OF THE COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE TO AUTOMATICALLY CAUSE ALL REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETINGS AND STUDY SESSIONS TO AUTOMATICALLY ADJOURN AT 10:30 P.M. UNLESS OTHERWISE EXTENDED

Body

Summary and Background Information:  The City Council, in a previous meeting, acting through by consensus and upon an affirmative vote, directed the City Attorney to draft and present for review, consideration, and approval, an amendment to CCRMC sec. 2-2003 to modify two items. First, to change the time of automatic adjournment to 10:30 p.m. thereby striking the 4 1/2 hour limit. Second, to amend the timing and duration of motions to extend meetings to allow greater flexibility as may be necessitated by the facts and circumstances of the meeting.

This amendment accomplishes both those purposes.
