Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF EAST 112TH AVENUE BRIDGE OVER FULTON DITCH TO JALISCO INTERNATIONAL INC.

Body
The purpose of this resolution is to authorize award of Contract for Replacement of East 112th Avenue Bridge over Fulton Ditch to Jalisco International, Inc. The amount of the contract is $1,230,027.35.

Summary & Background
The 112th Avenue Bridge over the Fulton Ditch is located approximately 2,800 feet east of US85 on 112th Avenue. An inspection by CDOT in the spring of 2020, found the bridge unsafe. The columns supporting the bridge in the eastbound direction have significant section loss. As a result, the eastbound lanes for the bridge are closed. The City hired Benesch Inc. to complete the design of the new Fulton Bridge. CDOT and the Federal Highway Administration has approved the design. These approvals were necessary to receive a $500,000 grant towards construction of the bridge.

Engineering posted a request for bids (RFB) on the City website and the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System - resulting in seven valid bids on 30 April. Jalisco International Inc. was the low bid for the project.
