RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF DEED OF CONSERVATION EASEMENT FROM ADAMS COUNTY TO THE CITY OF COMMERCE CITY

Body

Summary and Background Information

Commerce City and Adams County hold several conservation easements for each other. These easements help to preserve and protect the conservation values of the property in perpetuity.  Adams County recently agreed to hold the conservation easements on the properties at Sand Creek and the South Platte that the city acquired, remediated, and restored. The Falcon property, the subject of this easement, is located at 136th and E-470 along the South Platte River and after it was acquired Adams County requested that Commerce City hold the conservation easement on it.
