RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT OF EASEMENT TO COMCAST OF COLORADO IX, LLC FOR BROADBAND COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM

Body

Summary and Background Information:

Grant easement to Comcast of Colorado for installation of conduit and wiring associated with the broadband communications system within Turnberry Park, which is owned by Commerce City. Resolution No. 2021-01 authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to grant an easement to Comcast of Colorado, substantially in the form attached, on behalf of the City.

Comcast of Colorado is in the process of installing a broadband communications system to provide service to residents in the Turnberry Subdivision. The broadband communication system includes wires, underground conduit, pedestals and vaults. Due to limited space within the existing easement along the edge of Turnberry Park, Comcast of Colorado is requesting an additional easement to install their broadband facilities. The Public Works Department and Parks and Recreation Department staff have reviewed the location of the proposed easement for the infrastructure and do not foresee any conflicts with the Turnberry Park site.
