Summary and Background Information:
The Commerce City Parks Recreation & Golf Department submitted a Great Outdoors Colorado Resilient Communities Grant application in November of 2020 for the following:
• Commerce City Park Ranger Program in collaboration with Adams County Open Space
• Urban Green Spaces Volunteer Investment Project with Bluff Lake Nature Center and Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership
Commerce City did not receive funding for the grant application submitted in the November 2020 cycle and were encouraged to resubmit our application for the Resilient Communities grant cycle due February 2, 2021. City staff is requesting that the Mayor sign a letter on behalf of City Council in support of the February 2021 Resilient Communities grant submission.
