Summary and Background Information

The applicant is requesting approval for the annexation of 13.36 acres, located on two parcels of land generally located at 10550 Brighton Road. The properties to be annexed are being purchased by Dan Sheldon and will be developed as a single-family detached residential subdivision, named Platte Place. A vicinity map has been included for the specific location. All of the property is currently zoned with an Adams County Residential-1-C (R-1-C) zoning designation and is requested to be rezoned to Commerce City Single Family Detached Residential (R-1) via annexation zoning case Z-965-20, which is being processed concurrently. The public hearing for this annexation case is scheduled for November 16, 2020. The petition has been reviewed and accepted by the City staff.
