The grant is titled “Peace Officers Mental Health Grant”. There is a total of $1.9 million available, statewide, but it is distributed on a “first come/first serve” basis, (<https://cdola.colorado.gov/funding-programs/peace-officer-mental-health-grant>). The grant application closes on October 26, 2020.
The Commerce City Police Department would like City Council’s approval to apply for this grant. We are only seeking permission from Council to apply. If we are awarded the grant monies, we will report back.
