Summary and Background Information:
Marijuana regulations and licensing within Commerce City date from 2012 for Medical Marijuana and 2015 for Recreational Marijuana. Within Ordinances #2048 and #2050 are found the regulations and licensing for all marijuana establishments within the City.
Based on City Council direction earlier this year, staff has put together this presentation which will include a summary on the current state of retail marijuana in the city, including the licensing process, the current establishments, current revenue, the current zoning and separation requirements, and how the current ordinance influences the eligibility of certain properties and examples.
