Summary and Background Information:
Commerce City added a new tool to its website in September of 2019 to provide easier access to financial and performance information to the public. The OpenGov platform transforms complex financial data into an interactive, digital format that enables better analysis and understanding of the city’s finances. The new tool makes it easy to explore how taxpayer money is spent.
The portal allows users to view, filter, and analyze prior year, current year-to-date and next year’s budget data. Current, monthly and annual financial reports from 2015 to present are available via interactive graphs. FInance will demonstrate use of the system.
