This resolution finalizes the transfer of.764 acres of floodplain land at the Second Creek Village.

 

Background:

This resolution finalizes the transfer of.764 acres of floodplain land at the Second Creek Village to the developer Thompson Thrift.

 

Background:

Thompson Thrift has completed substantial development and public improvement work at Second Creek Village. Transferring the small floodplain property that is currently owned by the City will allow Thompson Thrift to deliver significant public benefit including:

1)                     Creation and harmonization with an interconnected roadway system to the west of Chambers

2)                     Increasing tax revenue for the City by facilitating additional commercial development

3)                     Increasing public safety through the improvement of off and on-site access, traffic flow, and traffic regulation

4)                     Facilitating additional development that will meet community needs
