Body

Summary and Background Information

The community relations division together with the city clerk’s office conducts a quarterly advertising campaign to solicit interest in the boards and commissions. Citizens of Commerce City submit their applications to serve on a board or commission and an interview panel comprised of members of the council conduct interviews and make their recommendations to the full council. The subcommittee would like to recommend to the full council the appointment of members to the designated boards and commissions.

Additionally, due to board and commission meetings, events, and activities being canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council Boards and Commission subcommittee is proposing extending the term of all board and commission members with terms expiring in 2020 one full calendar year to 2021.
