Summary and Background Information:
The City has contracted with an outside vendor to provide social media training to the City Council. Mark Weaver, with Counsel Communications, will conduct the training on best practices for utilizing social media. Mr. Weaver is a crisis communications expert with three decades of experience advising clients in 25 states and at the highest levels of government. He has been a featured speaker for the Government Social Media Conference. Mr. Weaver will review best practices for social media as it pertains to public officials during this training.
