RESOLUTION REESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY OIL AND GAS FOCUS GROUP AND REAPPOINTING PARTICIPANTS

Summary and Background Information:
Council directed staff to prepare a resolution reestablishing the oil and gas focus group that operated from April-June 2019. Previously established by Resolution 2019-14, the group provided non-binding advisory comments for City Council and City staff with respect to various specified matters. The authorizing resolution expired in 2019.
This resolution reestablishes the group for the limited purpose of providing non-binding input to City staff regarding Land Development Code amendments related to oil and gas development, which amendments are anticipated to be considered in the first four months of 2020. The resolution also allows for additional consultation as directed by Council. The resolution authorizes a minimum of 2 meetings, with more as needed to provide such feedback. The group size is reduced to 7 and all prior appointees who remain eligible are automatically reappointed. The resolution expires May 1, 2020.
