Title
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE DIRECTORY OF CITY FEES AND CHARGES
Body
Summary and Background Information:
The City's fee philosophy is that the purpose of fees is to recover City costs incurred when providing a specific service or services to certain individuals who request the service or create the demand for that service. Since the service(s) provided do not directly benefit the general public, public tax dollars should not pay for or subsidize that specific service.
Fees are set by resolution and the Council will adopt a fee that differs from the service cost when they determine that to be in the general public interest.
The Directory of Fees provides a handy "one-stop" reference for the City fees, preventing confusion over what are the official fees adopted by the City Council.
All amended sections can be seen in Exhibit A.
