AN ORDINANCE ENACTING DIVISION 11 OF ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE, WITH AMENDMENTS

The Community Development Department is proposing adoption of the 2018 family of International Codes including: The International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Fire Code (IFC), International Existing Building Code (IEBC), International Energy Conservation Code (IEEC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC).

Financial Impact: Not more than $5,000 for purchase of code books, training materials and resources
Funding Source: Existing Building Safety Division budget
Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends passage of all ten building code ordinances and the two related ordinance codifying violations and penalties and electrical administrative provisions on 1st reading and proceeding to second reading and Public Hearing on November 4th.
