When evaluating crosswalk treatments, the City follows guidelines from the Federal Highway Administration, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and the Colorado Department of Transportation Roadway Design Guide while considering best practices. This policy outlines the City’s criteria for installing new crosswalk treatments.
The Crosswalk Treatment Evaluation Policy was presented to City Council at the June 10, 2019 Study Session. There were no substantive changes requested or made after the presentation.
