Body

Summary and Background Information

Ralston House is a child advocacy center that provides professional and comprehensive services for sexually, physically, and emotionally abused children and their families through a Jefferson County facility and through a facility located on property owned by the City of Northglenn.

The City Commerce City, the cities of Northglenn, Westminster, Thornton, Federal Heights, Brighton, and Aurora, the City and County of Broomfield, and the County of Adams all use the services of Ralston House and proportionally funded the design and construction of a new facility pursuant to an intergovernmental agreement.

Pursuant to the terms of the intergovernmental agreement, the City received a refund of its proportional funds remaining after the completion of construction in 2018; and the City Council desires to contribute that refund to Ralston House to continue its work toward its mission to stop abuse and start healing children and youth in our community.
