Body

Summary and Background Information

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This year's Small Business Week is May 5-11, 2019.

Small businesses are an important component of Commerce City's economy. There are over 1,400 businesses within the city and over 80 percent of them have less than 20 employees. Commerce City, in support of Small Business Week, joins in this national effort and recognize the contributions of small businesses in the city by adopting the attached proclamation.
