Title

RESOLUTION APPROVING RULES OF PROCEDURE FOR THE COMMERCE CITY LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 2007-41

Body

Summary and Background InformationIn 2007, the City Council of the City of Commerce City (“Council”) by Resolution No. 2007-41, approved Rules of Procedure (“Rules”) for the Commerce City Liquor Licensing Authority (“Authority”), which at that time was comprised of a citizen board. Council subsequently revised the Commerce City Revised Municipal Code to replace the citizen board with a hearing officer to serve as the Authority.  The Authority worked with the City to devise a set of procedures that are more appropriate for a hearing officer.  The Rules will be used for all proceedings before the Authority. The Resolution also authorizes the Authority to make non-substantive changes to the Rules,or changes necessary to conform to the law.

Potential actions:

1)                     Move to approve the resolution.

2)                     Move to amend the resolution.
