RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR CITYWIDE CUSTODIAL SERVICES

Summary and Background InformationThe City has recently opened the renovated/expanded Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (EPRC), adding 9,413 square feet that require custodial and janitorial services - this additional space is not included in the Custodial Services contract signed in April 2018.    The Custodial Services Contractor (Town and Country Development Corporation) has proposed to provide services to this additional space for an additional $1,300/month (annualized - $15,600/year).  Resolution 2018-26, which authorized the custodial services contract, stipulated that any additional services that exceeds $15,000 requires City Council approval.

Financial Impact:  $15,600 added to the original cost of the contract.

Staff RecommendationCouncil authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an amendment to the contract for citywide custodial services that provides for custodial services to the entire renovated/expanded EPRC.
