Summary and Background Information:
City Council held its annual planning retreat on February 1st and 2nd 2019, focusing on the development of the 2020 City Council annual work plan. City Council identified priority outcome areas within the 2020 work plan and priority projects for 2020. The process used during the retreat formulated “agreements” for 2020 priorities. Staff has developed a presentation summarizing those agreements for consideration of the City Council.
City Council also asked for a review of the priority projects they identified for imitation in 2018 (during the 2018 annual planning retreat) and a recap of 2019 priority initiatives. These elements have been included in the presentation.
City Council’s priorities for 2020 will become the foundation of the 2020 work plan and the first step in building the 2020 budget.
