RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR RIGHT OF WAY LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES

Summary and Background Information: Approximately 31 acres of Right of Way roadside and median landscaping is maintained throughout the City via contracted services. These areas include property throughout Victory Crossing, Quebec Parkway, 104th Ave, Chambers Ave, US HWY 85, US HWY 2, Derby Business District, 112th Ave and Potomac St.
The 2019 budgeted amount for ROW maintenance is $181,262. Routine maintenance activities billed monthly under the scope of the service contract will be $100,856 per year and anticipated repair, replacement and improvement costs will be approximately $80,406 per year.
Nine (9) contractors responded to the publicly posted request for proposals for the 2019 contract with bids ranging from $100,856 to $217,381 (see bid tabulation) for the outlined scopes of service for routine maintenance.
CoCal Landscapes provided the lowest qualified bid at $100,856 and have been deemed to provide the best value to the City.
