Body

Summary and Background Information: Commerce City currently designates as misdemeanors all violations of the City code, City charter, and adopted regulations and codes except where specifically designated as civil infractions. Unless otherwise designated, such misdemeanor violations carry a potential penalty of one year of imprisonment or fine up to $2,650, as permitted by state law, or a combination of both. Ordinance 2175 reduces the potential maximum penalty for misdemeanors under the City code to 364 days.
