Summary and Background Information: The Deaguero family has been synonymous with the Adams City High School wrestling program for more than three decades both on and off the mat. As head coach, Tom Deaguero built a legacy of leadership within the wrestling program for 26 years, resulting in a successful youth and high school system and securing a family legacy of state and collegiate champions. Mr. Deaguero, his nine siblings, and subsequent generations have been active members of the community, leaving a lasting impact. The Colorado Chapter of the National High School Wrestling Hall of Fame included the Deaguero Family in their 2018 class, with the Family Heritage Award. This proclamation recognizes the family's accomplishments and contributions to Commerce City.
