Summary and Background Information: The City is responsible for 269.0 centerline miles of streets. The most recent inspection of Commerce City’s streets, conducted in 2008, gave the entire network an average OCI of 69, which is considered Good overall. Commerce City’s Street Rehabilitation and Pavement Maintenance Program places a priority on maintaining the streets that are in Good condition. The goal of the City’s Street Rehabilitation and Pavement Maintenance Program is to continuously maintain the City’s street network in a safe and fiscally responsible manner. To accomplish this, the Public Works Department programs and implements cost-effective maintenance and repair strategies in a manner that will maximize the service life of a given street. Staff will present an overview of the city’s program and the planned improvements for 2018.
