Council Retreat Follow Up: Warranted Traffic Signal Installation

Body

Summary and Background InformationFive (5) intersections along E. 104th Avenue currently meet national warrants for installation of a traffic signal. One of these was funded in 2017 and will be constructed by the adjacent developer. The 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan currently includes funding for two of the remaining four signals in 2019 & 2020 and funding for a future signal, at a location yet to be determined, in 2021. At their February 2018 retreat, the City Council asked staff to evaluate the possibility of designing and installing the four warranted signals immediately. This presentation will outline the costs and schedule to accomplish this.
