Capital Improvement and Preservation Plan

Body

Summary and Background Information

The Capital Improvement Program and Preservation Plan process, as proposed, will draw requested projects from a variety of sources. Then the requested projects will go through the project ranking process, CIPCAC project review, executive review in light of funding availability, another CIPCAC review, and then the City Manager will recommend projects for the City Council's review.

The intent is to obtain public input into the CIPP development process and provide transparency to the public regarding the approved projects.

Is Council comfortable with this process or are there changes that we should make?

What are Council’s expectations for CIPCAC?

Is Council willing to meet with CIPCAC?

Does Council want to make policy changes that will change the CIPP process or rating criteria?

What other information will Council want for the planning retreat?
