Eagle Pointe Recreation Center Project Update

Summary and Background Information: Improving the existing Commerce City Recreation Center is the final of the first five projects promised within the 2K Bond Program. City Council approved award of the design contract to Essenza Architecture for the recreation center renovations February 6, 2017. Project and design progress updates were presented to Council on February 13, 2017, March 27, 2017, May 15, 2017, and July 27, 2017. On May 1, 2017, City Council approved award of Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) Preconstruction Services to Golden Triangle Construction. The initial Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract for foundation construction was approved December 4, 2017. The purpose of this presentation is to provide a project update and review the CM/GC GMP process and next steps.
