Summary and Background Information:
City Council approved funding for a Housing Needs Assessment and Balanced Housing Plan for Commerce City. The consultant selected for this project, Civitas, has completed their review of existing data and conducted stakeholder interviews, both in person and telephone, to obtain input on issues around housing. Information gathered in the first phase of this project is summarized to present a picture of their initial findings about the current state of housing in Commerce City. The consultant is working on the first draft of the Housing Needs Assessment, and it will be available on, or about, December 15, 2017. The purpose of the presentation to City Council is to summarize the efforts and results to date.
