RESOLUTION REMOVING MEMBERS FROM VARIOUS BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

Summary and Background Information: Pursuant to Section 11.1 of the Home Rule Charter, council shall have the power and authority to create such boards and commissions as it may desire or require, make appointments to those boards and commissions, and remove members by a majority vote. There is an expectation of both the City Council and the various boards and commissions, that appointed members will attend and actively participate in the meetings and activities of their respective boards and commissions. Regular attendance is essential to accomplish the goals and visions of the city's boards and commissions. The Citizens Public Safety Advisory Board is recommending and requesting that the City Council remove a members from their respective board, based on attendance and open the recruitment process to fill the vacancies created by the removal of members.
