Summary and Background Information: School District 27J unanimously referred Ballot Measure 3D to the November 2017 ballot. This mill levy override would generate $12 million that would be invested in tools and talent, with 20 percent of the funding provided to charter schools for similar investments. The purpose of this study session is to inform city council's discussion around advancing a resolution of support for the measure, a draft of which is attached.
