Summary and Background Information:
The recreation division invited the student councils from varioius Commerce City elementary schools to brainstorm, plan and eventually implement an offering for our GoodFriends Pancake Breakfast fundraiser event on Saturday, May 6. This offering could include, but was not limited to: entertainment, an art piece to be displayed in the senior center, an activity for children/families/seniors in attendance, etc. Three elementary schools participated (Central, Alsup and Second Creek). The elementary school selected by the Senior Advisory Committee was: Central Elementary leading a "Science Corner." This will include five stations of fun science projects that our attendees can interact with and even a station they can take something home with them.
