Summary and Background Information: As part of Commerce City's Playful City designation, the city is celebrating a Day of Play on July 4, 2017, with a free family fun zone at the city's annual 4thFest celebration. This Day of Play is consistent with KaBoom's Playful City USA program to seek innovative ways to improve the accessibility, quality and quantity of play and play spaces for children across the nation. Additionally, this proclamation declares July Parks and Recreation Month, consistent with the designation made by the U.S. House of Representatives.
