Summary and Background Information: The Adams County Aging Network (ACAN) has awarded Susan Carabajal as ACAN Senior Citizen of the Year and Deno's 6 and 85 Restaurant as ACAN Business of the Year for their contributions to their community. The awards will be presented to them on Thursday, April 20 at the ACAN annual conference.
Susan serves on the Capital Improvement Projects Citizen Advisory Committee (CIPCAC), the Commerce City Cultural Council and various public art selection committees. She has served in a leadership capacity (co-chair of CIPCAC, VP of Cultural Council, chair of the Music in the Park series, etc.) on many occasions, and is truly deserving of this honor.
Deno's 6 and 85 Restaurant has supported the Parks, Recreation & Golf Department /Senior Advisory Committee's Holiday Meals program for the past two years, and have been very kind and generous.
