Recreation Center Renovation Concept Design

Summary and Background Information:
Improving the existing Commerce City Recreation Center is the final project of the first five projects promised within the 2K Bond Program. City Council approved award of the design contract to Essenza Architecture for the recreation center renovations on February 6, 2017.
On February 13, 2017 the design team presented initial conceptual ideas for the repurposing of existing space and additions to the rec center. Additional feedback on the steam room, racquetball courts and theming was sought at the February Telephone Town Hall. Preliminary renovation and addition concepts were also shared with the CIPCAC and PRG Advisory Committee.
The purpose of this session is to review the final concept design, which has been updated based upon input from council, advisory committees and staff. A rough order of magnitude estimate will also be shared.
