RESOLUTION APPROVING INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTHGLENN RALSTON HOUSE

Body

Summary and Background Information

The Ralston House provides specialized child victim services to law enforcement agencies and district attorney’s office in our jurisdiction. Those services are currently provided through an outdated facility in the City of Northglenn. In March of 2016, City Council authorized the expenditure of up to $30,000 to participate with the partnering communities in the design of a new facility (Phase I IGA).

City Council is being asked via the Phase II IGA, to appropriate $79,094 to be used for the capital construction of a new facility for the purposes of delivering these services. The building will be a capital asset of the City of Northglenn, who is contributing significantly to the completion of the project.
