Title
RESOLUTION APPROVING CITY 2016 HIGHWAY USER TAX FUND (HUTF) REPORT
Body
Summary and Background Information:
The City is required to submit a Highway User Tax Fund (HUTF) Annual Mileage Certification report to CDOT annually. This report determines the amount of gas tax money the City can get based on the miles of roadway being maintained. Information in the report includes: street name, year built, length, width, surface type, and condition. The HUTF Annual Mileage Certification is required from all eligible jurisdictions each year. The report also updates any City boundary changes by annexation. The streets must meet eligibility requirements in order to be eligible for funding. The attached Road System Inventory Listing reflects the status of the public roadway system for Commerce City as of December 31, 2016, reflecting a total of 257.81 centerline-miles of roadway. This is an increase of 3.07 lane-miles primarily due to the addition of streets in new subdivisions.
