Summary and Background Information:
Renovation of the Commerce City Recreation Center is the final project of the initial five, 2K capital projects. Ballot language committed to additions to the existing southern recreation center including a new indoor therapy pool. In the summer of 2015, GreenPlay performed public outreach and validated the original scope from the Quality Community Foundation and public outreach surrounding the 2K bond initiative.
A facility condition assessment is currently underway to assess the building systems and any need for repair, replacement, or upgrading to support the renovation. Staff and the Program Management Team would like to take this opportunity in the early stages of the project to review the outreach and project schedule for the renovation, and discuss phasing and timing impacts on cost and schedule.
