Summary and Background Information

The City and the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District (SACWSD), in the interest of efficiency, desire to include certain water and sanitary sewer improvements in the Tower Road Widening Project to accommodate future development in the area.  An intergovernmental agreement has been developed to facilitate the completion of these improvements and to establish terms for the financing, ownership, and use of the improvements.

Approximately 3,895 lineal feet of 21”-diameter sanitary sewer will be installed at a cost to the City of $619,870.89. Approximately 6,870 lineal feet of 16” water line will be installed at a cost to the City of $1,022,661.44.  SACW&SD has requested that some non-potable water main improvements and a steel casing to facilitate future improvements be installed, at their cost, for a total of $100,639.14.
