RESOLUTION APPROVING 2016-2021 CONSOLIDATED PLAN

Body

Summary and Background Information

In November 2015, City Council directed staff to proceed with becoming a Direct Recipient Entitlement Community for 2016. Since this time, staff has been working with HUD and a consultant, Mosaic Community Planning, on creating a HUD approved Consolidated Plan.  Over the past several months, the consultant, in conjunction with the community and city staff has been working together to create the City’s first CDBG Consolidated Plan.   Over the course of this project, city staff has had several study sessions with City Council in March, June and July to update and obtain feedback from Council on this effort. Tonight’s presentation is the culmination of several months of hard work which results in the final review of the Consolidated Plan, along with any final public comment on the plan so that this plan may be submitted to HUD by August 15, 2016.

The complete plan draft, which includes the entire 1-year and 5-Year Annual Action Plans can be found on the city’s website, under the CDBG page at: www.c3gov.com/cdbg <http://www.c3gov.com/cdbg>
