Preliminary Budget Session: CIPP Discussion

Summary and Background Information:
Creating a five year capital improvements & preservation plan (CIPP) was an action item generated during city council's 2015 winter retreat to implement needed investments in a sustainable way. City Council and the Capital Improvement Citizen Advisory Committee helped create criteria to evaluate potential projects and review submittals. The purpose of this presentation is to provide background and information on the 2017 CIPP process, available funding sources, submitted projects and scoring criteria, and proposed philosophy for the five year plan for council discussion and input. In 2016, city council identified five priorities for 2017. The presentations tonight seek additional guidance and input from council on these items to further refine the 2017 work plan and identify potential budget impacts to the CIPP and 2017 general fund budget
