Summary and Background Information: The National Park Trust is celebrating the sixth annual Kids to Parks Day the weekend of May 20-22, 2016. Cities across the nation are joining the national movement that engages children and families with parks, nature, and healthy outdoor play. The City has participated in the last three years, adopting a proclamation and using social media, online and print methods to encourage residents to enjoy a neighborhood park or the Refuge.
